So check it out.
Social stigma in Singapore seems to be less stringent and less exclusive than does political stigma.

Political stigma prevents raising of matters such as racial differences, homosexual marriages, and limitations of certain legislative practices.
Societal stigma, however seems to embrace these facts as matters of life.
It's interesting that in our everyday lives we accept them as part and parcel of life.

Following that politics should be leading torch in paving the way for society, is this where society is being led toward?

then again, It would not be strange to see a political party member cracking racist jabs and being overall informal.
I qualify myself- i don't mean that at a social level we are insensitive to such issues, just that we generally accept them and are sensitive to them out of a conscientious character.
then again some would see this as self-censorship birth from years of coercive national education, but I, for one at least consciously, feel much less influenced by national education which i viewed as an unnecessary obligation.
